Samaná, Las Terrenas

The Samana peninsula is the most attractive region and the country’s jewel.

This tropical paradise combines lush vegetation, stupendous scenery and numerous pristine fine sand beaches.

Las Terrenas is a charming old fishermen’s village where traditional life harmoniously blends with the European influence which brings along western refinement and an international know-how.

Transportation

Lots of means of transportation are available:  taxis, motorbike-taxi (motoconcho), shuttle bus with chauffeur, cars, quads, mopeds or motorbikes for rent, all of these will allow you to get around the peninsula easily.

Airport

The Samana Highway (autopista) connects the peninsula to Las Americas airport in Santo Domingo in less than 2 hours.

Via the beautiful Atlantic Boulevard, the recent El Catey airport is a 20 minute drive from Las Terrenas. It now operates direct flights from the United States, Canada, France and Italy.
